Robyn, James, Dozer and a beautiful day

Robyn and James are engaged and I couldn’t be happier for them.   I also couldn’t wish for a better couple to photograph.  Not only are they fun, easy going and very visibly in love, but they also brought their dog Dozer with them.  For anyone who knows me, this is the recipe for a fantastic day of shooting.

Our first stop was the American University Tenley campus where Robyn and James first met.  Some photographs here were obviously required since this was the spot where they found each other.

Next, we attempted to go to the National Arboretum but were unfortunately turned away by security in the very typical and informative Washington DC kinda way.  Something like “go away” comes to mind.

We were a little bit bummed but we had a backup plan.  The plan was, let’s go to the Mall but lets not take any cheesy monument pictures.  So a couple illegal turns and a battle through traffic later and we were there.

We walked around to some cool buildings and came back with some great shots.  Below are a quick sample.

I hope you enjoy.

And last but certainly not least, big thanks to Erin for bringing me along on such a great photo shoot.
